EHF Network · FMS Global

Information becomes useful when it is connected.

FMS Global did not begin as a software idea. It grew from practical logistics — from the need to connect vehicles, people, assignments, communication, documents and business information where decisions were actually made.

1991 → todayMore than three decades of practical development.
01 · Yesterday

It started with practical work — not with software.

The business story began in 1991 with Holz Fahrzeugtransfer. What started as student work — cleaning rental cars and moving vehicles from one location to another — became increasingly complex as assignments, drivers, customers and destinations grew.

Holz Fahrzeugtransfer begins as a practical vehicle-transfer operation.

Own Microsoft Access database. Structured data becomes necessary — and its limits become visible.

Parts of the developing FMS system are operated on the web under the FMS House / GeT environment.

FMS Global is documented as an integrated online system for customers, distribution, drivers and commercial processes.

A database was the beginning. Connection was the real task.

As the operation grew, a local database could store more information — but storage alone did not solve the operational problem. Information had to move between customers, dispatchers, drivers and commercial processes.

With the spread of the internet, the system moved step by step from local data management into a networked operational environment. The development continued within GeT – Gesellschaft für europaweite Transferfahrten mbH and was presented externally under the name FMS House.

FMS House · FMS GlobalFMS House was the technical/product-facing identity. FMS Global was the system itself.

The problem was not the absence of information. The problem was making it available in the right context and at the right moment.

Online order flow

Customers could enter, change or cancel orders and follow them through Track & Trace.

Mobile

Status from the field

Mobile devices returned operational status information to the central system while work was being carried out.

Commercial

Documents & analysis

Delivery documents, invoices, expense records and budget information became part of the same operational context.

Historical material shown on this page originates from original FMS House / FMS Global documents dated 2005. Additional archive material will be added as it becomes available.

02 · Today

The technology changed. The system idea became larger.

FMS Global is being developed as a connected information and intelligence system — linking practical operations, communication, research, source context and artificial intelligence in a shared environment.

01 Operations

The operating layer

Information begins where the work happens.

FMS Global connects operational processes with communication and feedback. The objective is not to create more administration, but to keep the information generated by practical work in the right context.

02 Research & Context

Research & Source Intelligence

FMS remembers more than information.

It should remember where information came from, what it meant at the time, how it relates to other information and whether that understanding later changed.

This concept grew in part from work with complex administrative processes. Finding a document is only the beginning. Sources may come from different years, institutions and proceedings; statements can change; new evidence can alter the meaning of information that was already known.

Source provenance Where did this information come from?
Time & version context What was known or stated at that moment?
Evidence relationships What confirms, qualifies, supplements or contradicts it?
Contradictions Conflicting information remains visible instead of being overwritten.
Reusable knowledge Research performed once can support later questions and processes.

03 Intelligence

AI & connected reasoning

Artificial intelligence works with context — not beside it.

FMS Intelligence is intended to analyse information already connected within the system: what happened, what is affected, what may be missing, which information conflicts, and which consequences, risks, opportunities or next steps should be considered.

What happened? What is affected? What is missing? What contradicts this? What follows next?

One event. More than one direction.

An event can be examined not only for the company directly affected, but also for competitors, suppliers, customers, substitute technologies, sectors, existing portfolio risks and potential opportunities.

Facts, interpretations, market narratives and changing expectations can all matter when they influence real decisions and capital flows.

Independent specialized development

Regulation and practical forestry in one understandable workflow.

A specialized forestry system is being developed independently within the wider EHF environment. Its starting point is practical work: international regulatory requirements and the operational steps surrounding timber harvesting should become easier to structure, document and follow.

FMS Global may later provide surrounding research, documentation, source context and intelligence functions without absorbing the identity or authorship of the specialized system.

Independent counter-check

Where appropriate, analyses can be challenged by an independent critical review before they become part of a decision basis.

04 · Looking ahead

From connected data to connected reasoning.

Operations create information.

Research preserves context.

Intelligence understands relationships.

The objective is not autonomous decision-making for its own sake. The objective is to give people a better and more complete basis for making decisions.

Public system view

This page explains purpose, components, relationships and development direction. Internal implementation details — including source code, orchestration, prompts, algorithms, scoring logic and security architecture — are intentionally not part of the public description.

03 · Designed for

Not more data. More context.

FMS Global is no longer conceived as a fleet-management system alone. It is being developed as an environment that can connect operations, communication, documents, research, specialized systems and artificial intelligence while preserving the context of each. Companies already have information. The difficulty is understanding what belongs together.

1

What happened?

Identify the event, change or new information.

2

What is affected?

Connect the relevant order, customer, employee, vehicle, machine or project.

3

What belongs to it?

Bring together documents, communication, costs, status and history.

4

Who needs to know?

Make the information available to the right roles and people.

5

What happens next?

Support operational action, commercial processing and further analysis.
